Samsung has announced its latest smart monitor – the M8 – which is designed for the modern user with the functionality of a regular monitor and the ability to independently enjoy the most popular streaming services.
The Samsung M8 has a 32-inch 4K UHD display and built-in Wi-Fi so it can switch from being a computer monitor to a smart TV.
It even has its own remote control and built-in speakers.
On the design side, the Smart Monitor M8 has an ultra-slim design that’s just 11.4mm thick – that’s three quarters slimmer than the previous models.
The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 is ideal for the home office set up and can connect to IT devices in your home wirelessly through the upgraded smart hub.
Onboard is the Workspace User Interface which puts everything you need in one place and enable users to wirelessly connect to a Windows or Mac computer as well as take advantage of other features including Samsung DeX, Apple AirPlay and Microsoft 365 cloud service.
It’s also possible to mirror content from your smartphone to the M8.

Like Samsung smart TV’s, the smart monitor M8 has an IoT hub called SmartThings which can connect to all of your smart home products wirelessly.
From this dashboard users can easily monitor security cameras and control smart lights and smart switches.
The M8 4K UHD screen has HDR 10+ support with a billion colours and sRGB 99 per cent so you can enjoy every detail of your content as it was intended.
The M8 has a height adjustable stand and tilt functionality to allow users to find the perfect position whether they’re working on a project or watching a movie.
