You can’t go to the movies right now but you can set up a cinema in your home without breaking the bank with the BenQ TH585 full high definition projector.

BenQ is the global No 1 DLP projector brand and its latest product is ideal for watching movies and playing games on a grander scale.

The projector has built in 10W speakers so it can provide a complete audio visual experience without the need to hook up numerous speakers or an expensive receiver.

Simply hook up your Blu-ray or DVD player and press play.

It has a special Game Mode so you can also hook up your Xbox or PlayStation console and enjoy 16ms response time so there is virtually no lag.

The BenQ TH585 has 1080p full high definition resolution and 3,500 lumen brightness which is bright enough to watch during the day.

It can achieve 95 per cent of the Rec. 709 colour space so picture quality is crisp and accurate.

The projector includes an energy-saving Lamp Mode with the lamp lasting up to 15,000 hours and 4,000 hours in normal mode.

BenQ’s TH585 has flexible installation options whether you mount on the ceiling or rest it on a coffee table thanks to the digital vertical lens shift.

Users can connect game consoles and BD and DVD players via the HDMI ports. It also has a USB port to play video content from a USB drive. It’s also possible to connect the projector to a PC.

“With the new TH585, users can experience larger-than-life gaming and video content like never before,” said Martin Moelle, Managing Director of BenQ Australia.

“Through stunning visuals, strong audio performance and dynamic connectivity, the TH585 is an impressive projector, and we’re thrilled to see how consumers like it.”

The BenQ TH585 full high definition projector is available now and is priced at $1,399.
