Tech Guide’s hands-on look at the new Winbot X robot window cleaner
Ecovacs last year introduced its robot vacuum cleaner – the Deebot OZMO 930 – and we got a look at its latest creation, the Winbot X that can now clean your windows in the same efficient way it cleans your carpets.
We got up close to the Winbot X at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas recently and saw it in action.
The device was working in front of us on a large 2m window where it attached itself using strong suction to clean the pane.
It also had a tether in the unlikely event the Winbot X lost suction and detached from the window.
Winbot X uses the same intelligence to clean every inch of the window as it does cleaning your carpets and mopping your floors inside.
The product can be used inside and outside of your windows and can clean in a single sweep.
Ecovacs also introduced at CES the integration of voice control through Google Assistant for the Deebot robot vacuum.
Now users can talk directly to the Deebot and ask it to start cleaning, return to the charger and also clean a specific area.
During our hands-on look at CES, one of the instructions issued was to clean up a spill in a certain area of the home.

Within a few seconds, the Deebot was making its way to the trouble spot.
The Winbot X will be released in Australia in the coming months.
