Sony Mobile has this week launched its new Xperia Z5 smartphones boasting market-leading features like a 23-megapixel camera with the world’s fastest auto focus and a completely waterproof design.
Available from this week will be the Xperia Z5 Compact (4.6-inch display, 1280 x 720 resolution) and the Xperia Z5 (5.2-inch display, 1920 x 1080).
From next month, customers will be able to get their hands on the top of the line model – the Xperia Z5 Premium – the world’s first smartphone with a 4K display.
The device’s 5.5-inch display has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and, like the other Xperia Z5 models, incorporates Sony’s Triluminos Display technology.
Other common features in the range includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor, a 23-megapixel camera with super fast auto focus, waterproof and dustproof construction and two days of battery life.
These new smartphones will be available on plans from Optus, Vodafone and Telstra as well as through JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith and Sony Kiosks. Pricing is listed in the table below. Telstra pricing on a 24 month contract start at $65 a month.
The devices can also be purchased outright for $849 (Xperia Z5 Compact), $999 (Xperia Z5) and $1,199 (Xperia Z5 Premium).
