Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ now available for pre-order – here are the best plans and offers

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones are now available to pre-order ahead of the March 16 release and Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile have already revealed their plans.

Woolworths and Amaysim have also released offers for Samsung’s new devices which were unveiled on the eve of Mobile World Congress in a gala event with more 5,000 in attendance.

The new smartphones have a re-imagined camera that can capture Super Slo Mo, AR emojis and remarkable images in low light.

The telcos are now taking pre-orders with customers getting in early receiving a free Samsung Wireless Charge Convertible (valued at $119).

Telstra Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ pre-order customers will also receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet (valued at $456).

OPTUS

Optus plans for the Galaxy S9 64GB will start at $85 with $0 handset payments with 16GB of data  – this includes a bonus 9GB.

Customers will be able to enjoy data free music streaming from iHeartRadio, Spotify and Google Play Music as well as data-free mobile TV streaming of Netflix, Stan and ABC View.

The Optus My Plan Flex allows customers to upgrade every 12 months for $99 when they return their current phone in good working order and sign up to a new 24-month plan.

TELSTRA

Telstra customers can get hold of the Galaxy S9 64GB on the $99 Go Mobile Swap Lease plan with no additional handset payments over 24 months when their old handset is returned in good working order.

Included in this plan is 30GB of data (12GB + 18GB bonus data) and consumer customers also receive a 12-month subscription to Foxtel Now with one starter pack.

The S9+ plans start at $129 ($149 plan with a $20 a month credit offer) with 70GB of monthly data (50GB + 20GB bonus data).

Telstra will stock all colours (Midnight Black, Lilac Purple and Coral Blue) for the S9 ands S9+ 64GB versions.

The 256GB S9 and 256GB S9+ will only be available in Midnight Black.

VIRGIN MOBILE

Virgin Mobile customers signing up to a new plan for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will receive a 10 per cent discount off their fees if they sigh up before March 26.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will be available from $79.50 a month with 5GB of data while the S9+ plans will start at $84.50 a month with the same 5GB monthly data allowance.

VODAFONE
Vodafone is offering plenty of variety with its plans for the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

Plans for the 64GB S9 start as low as $67 a month with 4GB of monthly data but if you need more data you can spend an additional $28 dollars to get 10 times more data but that will be over 36 months.

For $135 a month you can get the S9 64GB with a massive 150GB data (includes 100GB of minus data).

if you want the S9+ 64GB, Vodafone plans also start at $67 with 4GB data a month over 36 months.

AMAYSIM

Amaysim is offering the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on a plan or on outright purchase.

Customers can also join a payment plan – from $57 a month over 24 months or $104 a month over 12 months.

And if you purchase the handset and take up an Amaysim plan you’ll get three free renewals for new and existing customers.

Anyone who purchases the S9 or S9+ through Amaysim will also receive a free Samsung wireless charger.

WOOLWORTHS

Anyone who pre-orders the Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ on a Woolworths Flexi Plan will receive a $300 discount which will make entry level plans as low as $54.96 a month over 36 months with 5GB data.

Other plans include the $64.96 monthly plan over 36 months that comes with 15GB of data while the $74.96 plans over the same term will include 25GB of monthly data.
