If you’re after a powerful laptop that allows you to play games and run demanding applications and look good doing it, then the new Razer Blade will tick all the boxes.
The Razer Blade has a 14-inch display – available in full high definition or 4K – and is powered by the 7th Gen Intel Core i7 quad core processor.
Also under the hood is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics processor for amazing performance in high definition when playing games.
And it’s also ready for immersive VR ready games and up to three times faster than the previous generation GPUs so you can plug in a VR headset the HTC Vive.
There’s also 16GB RAM and PCle-based SSD (solid state drive) storage that can be configured up to 1TB.
And it’s all housed in a chassis that’s only 1.79cm thick. The thin form factor is the result of precision cut CNC aluminium.
The 14-inch display has a 16:9 aspect ratio and has a brightness of 350 nits from The Razer Blade’s LED backlight.
Colour accuracy is also on point along with fast response times so the screen provides smooth video and blur-free gaming.
If you opt for the 4K display you’ll get 8.29 million pixels at 314ppi (pixels per inch).
Also onboard is the Razer’s Chroma Lighting which provides 16.8 million colour options to illuminate the keyboard, remap your keys for specific games, personalize your own lighting effects and sync it with your peripherals to create your own light show.
The lighting modes includes Wave which pulses the light like a wave, Spectrum Cycling which goes through all colours, Breathing to make it fade in and out with one or two colours, Reactive so the keys react to being pressed and Ripple with light dancing across the keys.
On the connectivity side, there’s Thunderbolt 3 through the USB-C port so you can achieve data transfer speeds at up to 40Gbps.
So now you can connect a monitor or external hard drive whether you’re playing a game or editing a video.
The device is running Windows 10 and includes FL Studio 12, one of the most popular PC professional music production suites, for free.
The 14-inch Razer Blade is available now and is priced from $2,799.95.
