Samsung’s new Galaxy A90 smartphone will make 5G more affordable than ever

Samsung has released yet another 5G smartphone – the Galaxy A90 5G – which is likely to be the company’s most affordable 5G device to date and continue the success of the popular A Series.

The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G has a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core 5G mobile platform with up to 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and a microSD card slot to expand that memory even further.

On the camera side, the Galaxy A90 5G will have a 48-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel depth camera and an ultrawide 8-megapixel on the back with a 32 megapixel front facing selfie camera.

The device itself will be just 8.4mm thick and weigh 206g and has been created with the unique geometric pattern on the rear glass panel will be available in black or white.

“We’re excited about the success of the Galaxy A Series – a generation of smartphones built for the new Era of Live that focuses on essential features people want the most, including a high-quality camera, long-lasting battery and immersive display,” said DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics.

“Samsung has worked tirelessly with our partners in the 5G ecosystem to bring 5G to as many people as possible, and now we are offering 5G connectivity across the entire Galaxy smartphone portfolio, giving more people high speed access and connected experiences.”

Samsung’s 5G smartphone portfolio already includes the Galaxy S10 5G and the recently released Galaxy Note 10+ 5G.

And while pricing for the Galaxy A90 5G is yet to be announced, it is certainly going to be Samsung’s most affordable 5G device yet if it follows the trend of the A Series pricing.

With 5G connectivity, Galaxy A90 5G users will be able to stream their favourite content instantly and also take their mobile gaming experience to the next level.

And for the first time on a Galaxy A Series device, customers will also have access to Samsung DeX so you can expand your mobile experience to your PC screen or mirror the phone display to your desktop and control it with your keyboard and mouse.

Other top shelf features will include an in-screen fingerprint reader and face recognition.

Also on board is a 4,500mAh battery which is capable of 25W Super Fast charging.

Samsung Electronics Australia is working with its operator and retail partners on the launch of the Galaxy A90 5G in Australia and will announce pricing and availability in the coming days.
