Motorola is the latest company to release a folding smartphone that opens like a book with the launch of the razr fold which was unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
While Motorola has enjoyed success with razr – a folding version of its popular flip phone from the early 2000s – this is the first time it has released a device with two large screens – a 6.6-inch front screen and an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO display.
Users can run up to three apps at the same time on the large inside display.
The inside screen is also compatible with a stylus so you can use the device as your canvas.
The device is just 4.6mm thick when unfolded and has a 6,000mAh battery under the hood.
It is the world’s first smartphone with Corning Gorilla Ceramic 3 and has a precision designed teardrop hinge which opens and closes smoothly without any stress on the display.
On the camera side is a three lens system with a 50MP ultrawide, 50MP wide and 50MP telephoto and a 20MP front facing camera.
The Motorola razr fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip for top line performance and battery efficiency.
And not only does the large inside provide a great to watch content – the audio can also match that experience thanks to speakers tuned by Bose.
There is no confirmation on whether Motorola will release the razr fold in Australia.
If is released here it will go up against the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and the rumoured Apple foldable iPhone.
