Alcatel has released two new smartphones – the 3X and 1S – which once again demonstrate that quality, features and value can be found in a single product.
The devices, both under $300, are available now from JB Hi-Fi.
The entry level 1S offers a dual camera system and a crisp 18:9 display for under $200 while 3X brings a triple camera system to the table along with Face Key and a fingerprint reader for under $300.
Both products are running the Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
ALCATEL 3X – $299
The Alcatel 3X has a generous 6.5-inch display with high definition resolution of 1600 x 720 to enjoy your photos, streaming movies, apps, games and browsing the web.
The triple camera system, an impressive inclusion at this price point, is made up of a 16-megapixel, 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel which work together to provide a 102-degree wide angle and stunning bokeh that can be adjusted in real time.
The camera also has smart scene detection so it can choose the right shooting mode, recognise up to 21 different subjects and optimise the image. All you have to do is point and shoot.
And the camera can handle low light situations for both photos and videos.
For your selfies, there’s the front 8-megapixel camera and front LED flash for better and brighter photos.
On the security side, there’s Face Key to unlock the 3X just by looking at it along with a fingerprint sensor than unlocks the phone in an instant.
The device also has a dedicated Google Assisted button to offer users faster access to apps, information, to set reminders, send text messages and to control their smart home devices.
Also onboard is Google Lens which makes it possible for users to learn more about their environment just by aiming the camera at the object or landmark.
ALCATEL 1S – $199
This device offers a lot of bang for your buck starting with the 5.5-inch Full View 18:9 HD+ display which has an impressive 81 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
The Alcatel 1S has a dual new camera (13-megapixel and 2-megapixel) and front 5-megapixel camera.
It also has 32 GB of internal memory and 3 GB RAM and is powered by an octa-core processor to offer unrivalled performance at this price point.
The Alcatel 1S also has Face Key and a rear fingerprint reader.
