Alcatel has announced the pricing and availability of its latest range of high quality smartphones which are loaded with flagship features without the flagship price.
The four devices across the Alcatel Series 1 and Series 3 will be available to Australian customers in August.
The company is the first brand to deliver 18:9 displays across its entire portfolio, including the cheapest device priced under $100 courtesy of its parent company TCL’s award-winning technology.
This 18:9 screen means the customer will have a larger screen occupying a smaller space and therefore a smaller form factor overall.
The three Alcatel Series 1 smartphones are all priced under $130 and come with either a 18:9 FullView 5.3-inch screen (Alcatel 1X and Alcatel 1C) or a 5-inch screen (Alcatel 1).
The Alcatel 1X and Alcatel 1 will also be running the Android Go operating system which a lighter and nimbler version of the OS which also comes with controls for data usage.
Alcatel 1 ($99) has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera while the Alcatel 1C ($89) and Alcatel 1X ($129) both have 8-megapixel rear cameras and 5-megapixel rear cameras.
The Alcatel 1C also has a fingerprint reader for added security – remarkable for an $89 device.
Moving up to the Alcatel 3V ($199) users will find a 6-inch 18:9 FullView full high definition display with a dual lens (12-megapixel and 2-megapixel) camera and a 5-megapixel front camera plus a fingerprint reader.
