Microsoft wants to unleash your creativity with new Surface products

Microsoft has debuted new sleek Surface products that offer professional grade power and performance and include features that will help you unleash your ideas and creativity.

Surface Studio and the second generation Surface Book, unveiled at a Microsoft media event in New York today, are products the company believes will empower a new wave of creativity.

The star of the Microsoft event was the all-in-one Microsoft Surface Studio which combines a powerful computer and a 28-inch PixelSense display.

The Surface Studio’s touch screen can be tilted and lowered to the desktop level and enable the user to interact with the 13.5 million pixel screen their hands or with the Surface Pen.

It is powered by either i5 or i7 Intel Core processors, up to 4GB NVIDIA GeForce dGPU and up to 32GB RAM so you can powerfully interact with your work and your documents.

On the design sign, the Microsoft Surface Studio is a meticulously crafted product with a relatively small footprint that has been created to suit your workspace and your workflow.

Microsoft also revealed a new tool – the Surface Dial – a mouse-like product that offers a radial on-screen menu of tools to help you complete your tasks faster.

Surface Dial is placed directly on the screen and will work with a number of apps including Microsoft’s Office suite and other drawing tools.

The Microsoft Surface Studio is available to pre-order in the US only starting at $US2,999 with broader availability in 2017.

No word yet on when the product will be available in Australia.

The Surface Book has also been given a significant upgrade with the three new models all boasting the 6th Generation Intel Core i7 processors and twice the graphics performance as the original.

The Surface Book Performance Base also adds 16 hours of battery life as well as up to 1TB of SSD (solid state drive) storage.

Surface Book can be used in different modes – laptop mode, clipboard mode and draw mode – making it one of the most versatile Windows 10 products on the market.

The new Microsoft Surface Book will be available in Australia on December 8 and starts at $3,799. Pre-orders are now open from the Microsoft Online Store.
