Telstra’s new loyalty program – Telstra Plus – has just kicked off and will reward customers with points for what they spend on their monthly bills which can then be exchanged for entertainment, services and products.
Like an airline’s frequent flyer program, Telstra Plus has clear benefit tiers – Gold, Silver and Member – based on the previous 12-month spend.
Typically a $1499 annual spend – based on Telstra services like mobile, home broadband and Foxtel – will get you the Member status.
Customers spending between $1,500 to $2,499 a year will be silver while those spending more than $300o in 12 months with Telstra per month will earn Gold status.
From today, Telstra Plus members can start building up their points which can be exchanged for new services, pre-sale tickets, movie rentals and entertainment subscriptions.
More than 370,000 Telstra customers have already signed up for the service.
“Our customers are already ahead of the pack because they can access the best network on the latest technology and devices,” said Telstra group executive consumer and small business, Michael Ackland.
“With Telstra Plus, being a Telstra customer becomes even more rewarding with our members starting to accumulate points from today.
“Members will soon be able to exchange their accumulated points for discounts on the latest technology devices and accessories when our redemption store opens in July.”
Customers who sign up to the program before June 30 will receive between 1,000 and 10,000 bonus points.
Current members can view their points balance and membership tier in their accounts on the 24/7 app or at www.telstra.com.au/plus
And from May 28, Telstra will start rolling out the rewards to the Telstra Plus members.
Here’s what Telstra plus members will receive:
– All members will have access to discounted movie and sport tickets, exclusive pre-sale tickets and money can’t buy experiences across a variety of sport and entertainment
– Silver memberswill receive a one-off Telstra Platinum tech support call per year and a Telstra TV Box Office credit for $75 (to be activated before 31 July 2019) – the equivalent of 12 SD new release movies, and a one month Kayo Basic subscription
– Gold memberswill receive 24×7 tech support over the phone and online through Telstra Platinum valued at $120 per year. Gold members will also receive a TTVBO credit to the amount of $110 (to be activated before 31 July 2019), which is the equivalent of 18 SD new release movies, and a three month Kayo Basic subscription.
