Souths launches Rabbitohs PLUS to offer fans deals on mobile plans and other services

The South Sydney Rabbitohs rugby league club has launched a new initiative to give fans a chance to show their support through their regular purchases and services including mobile phone plans, credit cards and insurance.

Rabbitohs PLUS has been designed to provide extra value to the club’s many members on the everyday items they would usually purchase elsewhere like mobile plans, insurance, credit cards, home loans, personal loans, car loans and travel bookings.

Members will receive highly competitive rates on these purchases with a portion of their spend going back to the club to fund resources for community programs and reinvestment into the South Sydney Rabbitohs football program.

There will be five key products for the launch of Rabbitohs PLUS:

– Rabbitohs Credit Card by Community First Credit Union;

– Rabbitohs Home, Personal and Car Loans by Community First Credit Union;

– Rabbitohs Home, Contents and Car Insurance by Add Insure;

– Rabbitohs Mobile by Me-Sim on the Telstra Network; and

– Rabbitohs Travel and Holidays with our travel partners Wotif.

“The challenge caused by COVID-19 during last season was a difficult time for many,” says Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly.

“However, as a Club we have come together and are looking for innovative ways in which we can work to deliver more value to our Members and supporters.

“Rabbitohs Members have shown what this Club means to them by coming out in force during the tough times of 2020, with over 14,000 passionate Members pledging their Membership fees to the Club amid the uncertainty of the 2020 season.

“The Rabbitohs PLUS program is a small way in which the Club can repay that loyalty and passion.”

Rabbitohs Mobile is powered by the Telstra 4G LTE network with plans starting at $14 a month for 3GB data and unlimited calls and texts.

There are other plans that include 15GB data ($25), 30GB ($35), 60GB ($59) and 100GB ($69) and also include unlimited calls to 15 countries.

The Rabbitohs Credit Card will allow supporters to show their true colours with a VISA card with the unmistakeable Rabbitohs emblem and with a low annual fee of $48 and a low ongoing interest rate of 9.25 per cent per annum and a 55-day interest free period.

Community First Credit Union will provide loans for Rabbitohs PLUS with home loan interest rates below 2 per cent per annum as well as competitive personal and car loans.

Wotif will be the Rabbitohs PLUS partner for travel bookings with an extra 15 per cent off selected hotels and fully refundable bookings so customers can book with confidence.

“The Club has been very selective in partnering with high quality service providers that also offer great value to our Members and supporters,” says Rabbitohs chief commercial officer Shannon Donato.

“It is all about providing value to our Members and fans with each product offering some of the lowest rates and premiums available in their respective fields.

“This provides more value to Members and supporters and a new revenue stream for the Club to bolster our activities in the community and on the field.”
