Netgear has launched the world’s first mesh Wi-Fi system that includes a built-in smart speaker so you can enjoy a better wireless network an impressive audio quality.
The Orbi Voice Smart Speaker and Wi-Fi Mesh Satellite has Amazon Alexa built-in.
Orbi Voice can cover more than 186 square metres with combined Wi-Fi speeds of up to 3Gbps.
The system is comprised of one satellite unit that connects directly to your modem and a second satellite which is not only the backbone of the Wi-Fi mesh system but also features premium Harman Kardon audio.
And with Alexa on board, users can ask the built in Amazon voice assistant to play music, control IoT devices, check traffic, weather, sports scores and more.
“The two fastest growing consumer trends for Smart Home technology have been the popularity of the voice assistant control and the growth of wi-fi mesh systems,” said David Henry, senior vice president of Connected Home Products for Netgear.
“Netgear, the established leader of wi-fi Mesh with our award- winning Orbi Whole Home Tri-band Mesh wi-fi systems and Nighthawk Mesh wi-fi extenders, today, is driving the next step in innovation with a built-in Alexa assistant and Wi-fi mesh satellite in a single consumer solution.”
“Orbi Voice is the result of combining the three key technologies used in the smart home environment in order to deliver both exceptional wi-fi and quality sound from our audio technology partner Harman Kardon.
“It is also widely known that the most popular skill employed with smart speakers is to enjoy streaming music services.
“To address this need we have taken our expertise in Wi-Fi and married it with a legend in the industry, Harman Kardon, to deliver superior sound quality while aligning with the leading providers of streaming music to give our customers the best Wi-Fi and hi-fi in one package.”
The Orbi Voice speaker can sit anywhere in your home thanks to its sleek, modern design.
Each satellite office Gigabit Ethernet ports for connecting wire devices like smart TVs and gaming consoles.
