Apple has updated the iTunes in the Cloud service here in Australia to now include movies so they can be watched on any computer or iOS device.
Yesterday Australia was included, along with the UK, Canada and New Zealand, as one of the countries to be able to purchase a movie and have it backed up in iCloud.
This is an advantage for a couple of reasons.
Firstly having access to the movie on iCloud means you can choose the device you want to stream it to instead of saving the whole file to that product.
Secondly, users don’t have to give up valuable hard drive space to store that movie locally on their computer or their iPhone, iPad or iPod.
This service was already in place for music, apps and books.
Movies that were previously been purchased through iTunes before iTunes in the Cloud was available can now also be accessed using this service.
