Uniden expands dash cam line-up with sleek new smart models

Uniden has expanded its line-up of dash cams with two sleek new models that offer advanced video capture while being discreetly positioned in your vehicle.

The Dash View 30 and Dash View 30R Smart Dash Cam have 2.5K video resolution from the front facing camera while the rear camera included with the Dash View 30R shoots full high definition at 30 frames per second.

The cameras have a slick cylindrical shape but have no screens. Users can view footage captured on the dash cams through the DashView that works on both iOS and Android as well as seeing a live view when connected directly to the device’s dual band wi-fi connection.

The devices offer a 140-degree wide angle lens so your videos provide a wide and clear view of the road.

Also onboard is the Sony Starvis Image Sensor which has back-illuminated pixel technology which provides clearer videos in bright and low light environments.

Drivers will be able to capture clear videos day or night.

“The Dash View will particularly appeal to design conscious luxury vehicle owners who are after a device they can integrate into their car without fuss or intrusion across the windscreen,” says Uniden national marketing communications manager Brad Hales.

“The key with our new Dash View range is that it allows drivers to record everything on the road without even knowing they have a dash cam there, ensuring you are protecting your version of events on the road when needed.

“Dash View has parking mode with an included hardwire kit, allowing you to record when you are away from the vehicle, and to capture incidents that may cause damage to vehicles while parked on the street and in carparks.

“This can help to provide evidence to insurers and relevant authorities. The free Dash View App enables playback of video as it happens for instant visual verification via your smart device.”

The new Uniden Dash View also have safety speed/red light camera warnings which are constantly kept up to date as well as voice guidance control using the Smart One Touch function.

GPS is also built-in while dual band wi-fi provides a fast connection to transfer video from the onboard memory card to your iPhone or Android smartphone using the Dash View app.

The dash cams come with a 32GB MLC high endurance microSD card to maintain quality recordings and offer quick transfers.

The Uniden Dash Cam 30 is priced at $399.95 which includes a 32GB microSD card and a hard wire kit.

The Uniden Dash Cam 30R (which includes a rear camera) is priced at $499.95 which includes a 32GB microSD card and a hard wire kit.
