Loyal Apple users with a MacBook, iMac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch can only dream about having one device that can charge and sync them all. Well, imagine no more – the iMate can do it all.
The Kickstarter project has easily exceeded its funding goal weeks ahead of its deadline with an expected release in May.
The device lets you charge and sync all series of MacBooks and MacBook Pros, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch at the same time with a USB-C port for other devices as well.
The iMate docking station has two USB-C PD (power delivery) fast charge ports that will allow users to charge and sync up to 6 devices at the same time.
iMate can also help you transfer data from one device to another device, multiple devices or to an external hard drive quickly and easily.
Also on board is a HDMI port that supports 4K so you can connect your MacBook to your TV to watch your favourite content on a larger scale.
The device is only about the size of a smartphone (it’s actually 12.5cm long, 7.8cm wide and 2.8cm thick) so it is easy to take with you on your travels, to work or anywhere if you’re on the go.
Having a product like iMate means you won’t need to carry around multiple dongles and adapters to charge your Apple products or transfer data.
One corner of the product even pops out to reveal the Apple-certified Apple Watch charger.
Customers can pledge as little as $US99 to get their hands on the iMate when it’s released next month.
There are also other higher-priced packages to purchase multiple iMate devices.
