Huawei has announced the pricing and availability of its new P10 and P10 Plus smartphones which will be available through Telstra, Optus and Vodafone or for outright purchase.
Announced in Barcelona in February during Mobile World Congress, Huawei’s P10 and P10 Plus have 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch displays respectively as well as a Leica dual lens camera.
The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will be available from May 25 on plans and for outright purchase for $899 (P10) and $1,099 (P10 Plus).
The camera has a 12-megepixal colour lens and a 20-megapixel monochrome lens as well as optical image stabilisation.
The larger P10 Plus comes with the Leica Dual Lens Pro Edition includes new SUMMILUX-H Leica lenses with a larger F1/8 aperture and higher optical capability.
It also includes some impressive new technology including 3D facial detection for more accurate feature recognition and auto-sensing to track light and adjust shutter speed and white balance to produce the best image.
On the design side, the Huawei P10 and P10 plus has rounded edges with a chassis that’s just 6.8mm thick.
They are powered by the Kirin 960 chipset and feature the EMUI (Emotion User Interface) 5.1.
These new Huawei smartphones have SuperCharge technology for fast charging and five-gate battery safety technology to manage temperatures and reduce risks.
Also onboard is new antenna chipset to provide users with the fastest connection to their network whether they’re working, playing or streaming.
