HTC launches the One X10 smartphone with high end features at a mid-range price

HTC has unveiled the new HTC One X10 – its latest mid-range smartphone and addition to the popular HTC One family of devices – which includes features normally found in far more expensive products.

The device has a 5.5-inch full high definition display and an eye-catching design with a metal body, 3D diamond cut edges and gentle curves to make it a perfect fit in your hand.

On the camera side, the HTC One X10 has a fast 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture along with integrated phase-detection auto-focus.

The camera also has a pro mode so you can take even more control over your images.

And if you love selfies, you’ll love the HTC One X10 which has an 8-megapixel front camera with an ultra-wide lens so you can fit in more of your friends or your location.

There’s also a built-in fingerprint for added security which recognises your fingerprint from any angle.

The fingerprint sensor can also be used to take selfies with a simple tap.

Also onboard the HTC One X10 is Boost+ with a dedicated Smart Boost which can optimise the phone’s performance and memory.

One of the features customers will appreciate is the 4,000mAh battery which HTC says can run for up to two days on a single charge.

HTC has managed to increase the battery capacity without adding to the device’s thickness so performance and design have not been compromised.

The HTC One X10 is available on May 17 from Vodafone for $5 a month on the Red $40 plan over 24 months.

Customers can also buy it outright for $549 from JB Hi-Fi stores from May 18.
