D-Link has just launched its new AC2600 Wi-Fi Range Extender which is designed to optimise coverage and maximise your wireless range in your home to eliminate dead spots.
The D-Link DAP1860 connects to your existing wi-fi router to increase the range of your network,
But, when paired with a D-Link PowerZone-enabled router or modem router, it creates a mesh network solution and retains a single network name across your entire home.
The DAP1860 has dual band connectivity with speeds up to 2600Mbps along with advanced AC SmartBeam to enhance signal strength.
Also on board, is a Smart Signal Indicator which can guide customers to find the best place to put it to provide optimal coverage.
The device also has an Ethernet port so you can connect nearby products like gaming consoles and smart TVs with a cable.
It also has the latest multi-user MIMI (MU-MIMO) technology which makes it possible for simultaneous transmissions to several devices to make better use of the available wi-fi network capacity.
The result is stronger wireless and faster speeds.
An installation is a breeze thanks to a one button solution.
All users need to do is press the WPS (wi-fi protected set up) button on the router and then on the D-Link extender to sync.
If your router does not have a WPS button, you can also use a web browser or the free D-Link mobile app to complete the set up.
“More connected devices mean a greater need for a strong reliable connection covering the entire home,” says D-Link ANZ managing director Graeme Reardon.
“The new DAP-1860 AC2600 Wi-Fi Range Extender helps guarantee this allowing users to place devices anywhere in their home without having to worry about a slow or intermittent Wi-Fi connection.”
The D-Link AC2600 DAP1860 is available now and is priced at $A249.95 and $NZ299.99.
