The new iPad goes on sale at 8am tomorrow

ipad3main4The new iPad will go on sale at 8am tomorrow at Apple Stores across Australia. Australia is one of 12 countries, including the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan, where the new device will go on sale on the first day.

Last week Apple took the covers off the new iPad which now features an ultra-high definition Retina Display, a faster A5X processor and a 5 megapixel iSight camera with improved optics.

Anyone who buys the new iPad from an Apple Store will be offered the free Personal Set-Up service to have the device customised, set up for email and loaded with your favourite apps.

Apple launches new high definition third-generation iPad.

The new iPad will start at $539 for the 16GB wi-fi model with 32GB wi-fi ($649) and 64GB wi-fi ($759) also available.

For the new iPad with 3G/4G + wi-fi prices start at $679 for the 16GB version. The 32GB version will be priced at $789 with the 64GB 3G/4G + wi-fi also available for $899.

The new iPad will also go on sale tomorrow from select authorised Apple resellers.
