The ASUS Vivobook Pro OLED laptop range designed to inspire your creativity
The latest ASUS laptops are premium inside and out with sleek design backed by the flagship features that users are looking for to spark their creative juices.
In fact, ASUS designed their latest laptop range with creators in mind.
And when you think about it, we’re all creators to some degree whether it’s sharing a social media post or editing a feature film.
ASUS knows this and have come up with laptops to meets the needs of creators at all levels – pro, prosumer and amateur.
These new laptops include the Vivobook Pro 16X OLED (M7600), the Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (M3500) and the Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (K3500).
One thing they all have in common is an excellent design and stunning OLED displays.
Whatever you’re looking at on these laptops looks amazing whether it’s a document, a movie, an image or a game.
VIVOBOOK PRO 16X OLED (M7600) – From $2899
If you’re a serious creator, you need to get serious about your laptop and the ASUS Vivobook Pro 16X OLED M7600 certainly ticks the boxes.
And it starts with the 16-inch NanoEdge 4K OLED display – it’s the world’s first 16-inch 4K OLED screen on a laptop.
It has a resolution of 3840 x 2400 4K UHD with a 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut.
This means the quality and sharpness of the screen is matched by the colour accuracy.
This is an important feature for creators – especially those whose creativity is based in realism.
Having such a rich, bright display would certainly be inspiring to creators who would want to see how good their projects would look on a dazzling screen like this one.
And the fact it’s a generous 16-inches in size at 16:10 aspect ratio gives users plenty of room to move.
The last thing a creative person wants to feel is limited or fenced in.
But just as important is performance and the Vivobook Pro 16X is powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX mobile processor which provides plenty of headroom for serious processing.
It also has the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics processor along 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD (solid state drive) for plenty of storage space.
Running Windows 11, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 16X OLED can handle heavy workloads thanks to its processing power and the dual-fan cooling system with ASUS IceCool Plus Thermal Control.
So it’s got your back if you need to push it to realise your creative vision.
The full-size backlit keyboard has well-spaced keys and is easy to type on and the trackpad is also large enough to easily navigate the system but also large enough to precisely move the cursor or mouse wherever you need it.
The other useful new feature is the ASUS DialPad which is activated by swiping down from the right corner of the trackpad.
This adds yet another precise control tool that can be used in the applications that creative individuals use quite often including Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Lightroom Classic.
On the connectivity side, the Vivobook Pro 16X OLED has three USB-A port, and 2 USB-C port with one supporting display and power delivery, a HDMI port, a microSD card slot and a headphone jack.
It also has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, so you can connect wirelessly at high speeds and also pair devices like a computer mouse, earphones and headphones.
Wi-Fi SmartConnect can also automatically connect to the best and fastest wireless network and all known hotspots.
Having all this power and performance is great but without a decent battery it’s all for nothing.
The Vivobook Pro 16X OLED has a 96Wh high-capacity battery that will easily get you through the day and allow you to work and create anywhere you want.
Privacy is also very important and the Vivobook Pro 16X also has a webcam shield to assure users are protected and undisturbed.
ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (M3500) – From $ 1699
The ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED has a 15.6-inch full high-definition OLED screen, and while it’s not 4K, it’s still quite sharp and bright.
That’s still plenty of room to move for anyone who’s doing anything from browsing the web to editing video.
The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and up to 600nits brightness with an 84 per cent screen-to-body ratio – that’s thanks to thin bezels.
It’s also Pantone validated for professional colour-grade accuracy and certified for low blue-light emissions.
The other advantages of an OLED screen include best in class colour gamut, 70 per cent less harmful blue light and a 0.2ms response time – that means smooth as silk scrolling, games and movies.
The Vivobook Pro 15 is running Windows 11 and is powered by up to AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX mobile processor with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics processor.
The M3500 has two models – QC model has an NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3050 and the QA model has an integrated AMD Radeon Graphic.
It also has up to 16GB RAM and a 512GB PCle SSD drive.
One feature the Vivobook Pro 15 OLED shares with the Vivobook Pro 16X is the one-touch login which can read can your fingerprint to unlock the laptop.
It takes barely a second to unlock once it recognises your fingerprint.
The Vivobook Pro 15 OLED weighs just 1.65kg and can fit easily into a regular backpack without hardly weighing you down.
And when you do push the laptop to the limit, you can take comfort in the fact that the M3500 has got your back with an advanced cooling system.
The ASUS IceCool Plus technology can keep the thin and light laptop cooler so as not to impact on performance.
There is also a Harmon Kardon-certified speaker system so your movies and games can really come to live and immerse you in the experience even further.
The ClearVoice Mic feature can help eliminate ambient sounds so your video calls and presentations will be loud and clear.
There are no shortage of ports – two USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A HDMI, microSD card reader and an audio jack.
Creators will love the keyboard – it is backlit, with well-spaced keys that offer 1.35mm key travel.
The touchpad is 27 per cent larger than the previous model so it’s even easier to navigate and more responsive.
The ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 also comes with Adobe Creative Cloud membership to the value $230.97 – a great way for creators to try the range of Adobe applications.
ASUS VIVOBOOK PRO 15 OLED(K3500) – $1899
The ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (K3500) is virtually identical to the M3500 in terms of specs and design, but the most noticeable difference is the processor.
This unit (K3500) is powered by the 11th Gen Intel H Series CPU with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics, up to 16GB RAM and 512G PCle SSD.
The M3500 is running the AMD Ryzen chip so why would a creator choose Intel over AMD?
For generic tasks there isn’t much difference but if you’re looking to do something a lot more involved like multi-threaded tasks like video editing and heavy multi-tasking the AMD might be the pick.
If you’re focused on individual tasks like rendering, 3D animation or Photoshop editing then Intel might be the better choice.
