Microsoft unveils powerful new range of Surface devices and accessories

Microsoft has just announced a range of powerful new Surface devices and PC accessories to expand the impressive Surface portfolio on the eve of the release of Windows 11.

The new products include Surface Pro 8, Surface Duo 2, Surface Go 3 and Surface Laptop Studio.

The new accessories include Surface Slim Pen 2 and Microsoft Modern USB-C Headset.

Surface was designed by Microsoft to provide an experience that seamlessly blends hardware and software to power your productivity, creativity and entertainment.

This is the largest update to the Surface portfolio with the new devices designed to take Windows to the next level.

SURFACE PRO 8 – from $1,649.

The device features a new high-resolution 13-inch display but it still maintains its ultra-portable form factor.

Surface Pro 8 features 11th Gen Intel Core processors, a new port selection including two Thunderbolt ports along with next level cameras and speakers.

It’s new TypeCover also pairs perfectly with the Surface Slim Pen 2 with built-in storage and wireless charging.

Surface Pro 8 will become available to purchase in Australia from November 4, 2021 from Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and other major retailers.

SURFACE DUO 2 – from $2,319

The device has larger 8.3-inch PixelSense Fusion displays and is powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform.

It puts the power of Microsoft 365 in your pocket with dual-screen productivity and entertainment wherever you go.

The original Surface Duo pushed the envelope in terms of defining what a mobile device could be.

But with Surface Duo 2, that vision has been pushed even further with the capabilities that people have come to expect from a premium smartphone.

But it’s more than just a phone, from the integration with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams all the way to entertainment scenarios like Kindle, gaming and TikTok, the duo two can enable numerous app pairings and solid multitasking capabilities.

The Android device can run two apps simultaneously and can also run apps that have been especially tuned for a dual screen experience.

It has a dynamic triple lens camera system, stereo audio, NFC for contactless payments and a range of compatible accessories that add extra features and provide extra protection.

The Surface Duo 2 will be available in Australia in late October.

SURFACE GO 3 – from $629

Surface Go 3 is the most portable Surface touchscreen 2-in-1 device but now it comes with a 10.5-inch display and even more horsepower.

It has been optimised for digital pen and touch and offers the tablet-to-laptop versatility that makes the product ideal for your everyday tasks and entertainment.

Surface Go 3 is 60 per cent faster with an Intel Core i3 processor and has optional LTE connectivity, an all-day battery and built-in Microsoft security.

SURFACE LAPTOP STUDIO

The Surface Laptop Studio has been designed closely with Windows 11 and it is the most powerful Surface product Microsoft has ever built.

It is the result of years of Surface innovation and brings everything together in one powerful device.

It is the ideal product for developers, creative professionals, designers and gamers and brings the power of a desktop, the portability of a laptop and a creator’s studio into one product.

Surface Laptop Studio has a new dynamic woven hinge so it can transition from one mode to another quickly and seamlessly.

In Laptop Mode, users will have a first-class typing experience and a precision haptic touch pad.

In Stage Mode, the 14.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen display is positioned at the perfect angle for gaming, streaming and presenting to clients. In this mode, users can immerse themselves in the display.

In Studio Mode, users can make use of the optimal canvas for uninterrupted writing sketching and just let their creativity flow.

SURFACE SLIM PEN 2 – $189.95

Surface Slim Pen 2 provides the feeling of writing with a pen on paper and it can be stored and charged with compatible Surface devices so you can write and draw anywhere.

It provides even greater control and accuracy with the redesigned sharper tip helping put a finer point on writing, shading and inking.

It can charge and be ready to go when it’s magnetically attached to the Surface Laptop Studio or stored in the Surface Pro signature keyboard.

MICROSOFT MODERN USB-C HEADSET – $99.95

Certified for Microsoft Teams with high quality audio and voice, Microsoft’s Modern USB-C Headset has a lightweight design, meeting controls and an easy setup that helps you stay connected and focused for the entire work day.
