Bose unveils new range of wireless surround sound systems

Bose has just unveiled three new wireless speaker systems – a soundbar and two luxury home entertainment systems – that take your TV and movie viewing experience to the next level.

Once again, the respected audio company has created a range of products that follow the tradition of combining superior design and audio technology.

There’s the SoundTouch 300 soundbar that defies the limitations of single speaker performance and the Lifestyle 650 and 600 home entertainment systems for true surround sound.

BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 300 SOUNDBAR – $999

The Bose Soundbar is less than a metre in length with a thin profile and is made from premium materials that includes a perforated wrap-around metal grille and a top surface made of glass.

Onboard is wi-fi and Bluetooth enabled with NFC so it’s easy to pair with your mobile devices to stream your music.

And when watching your movies, the Bose SoundTouch 300 uses PhaseGuide arrays to send signals around the room with sound coming from parts of the room where there are no speakers.

Also onboard is the proprietary QuietPort so you’ll also get an undistorted punch of bass at any volume and DSP (digital signal processing) brings the detail and clarity across all frequencies.

The Bose SoundTouch 300 sound can be customised for your room with ADAPTIQ calibration technology because not all rooms are the same size and shape.

With HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) you only need one cable to connect to a TV or DVD/Blu-ray/4K UHD player.

The SoundTouch 300 performs well on its own but it can also be wirelessly connected to additional components like the Acoustimass 300 wireless bass module ($999) and the Virtually Invisible 300 wireless acoustically matched surround speakers (starting at $449) for a 5.1 channel experience.

BOSE LIFESTYLE 650 ($6,999), BOSE LIFESTYLE 600 ($5,499)

The latest Bose Lifestyle systems introduce the smallest satellite speakers the company has ever made.

These four OmniJewel speakers measure just 4.7cm wide, 14.7cm long and 4.7cm deep and yet still have room for high-excursion transducers positioned in opposition for an impressive output.

But these speakers only form part of the picture along with a slim centre channel and a bass module for incredible omni-directional sound.

And like the SoundTouch 300 soundbar, the Lifestyle 650 uses QuietPort technology and DSP to add the finishing touches to a truly remarkable sound.
