The robot vacuum cleaner has just gone to the next level with the release of the Ecovacs Robotics Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI which includes the latest AI technology and obstacle identification.
The OZMO T8 AIVI has a new level of laser-based mapping and navigation performance for even more efficient cleaning.
There’s even an integrated camera which can stream video to homeowners so the robot vacuum can also act like a security camera on wheels and provide the home owner with added peace of mind.
Through the built-in video manager function, it is possible to use the onboard camera to check in on kids, pets and areas of your home you don’t always see through a regular security camera.
The new OZMO T8 AIVI also comes with a Pro Oscillating Mopping System to ensure an even deeper clean courtesy of the high frequency vibration at up to 480 times a minute which simulates a rigorous scrubbing motion.
In fact, the combined vacuuming and mopping strength of the Ecovacs robot vacuum can remove up to 99.26 per cent of bacteria.
Onboard the OZMO T8 AIVI – short for Artificial Intelligence, Visual Interpretation – can recognise objects like shoes, charging docks and cables, clothes and socks and avoid them and prevent the unit from getting stuck or clogged.
The unit can detect objects as small as one millimetre high.
This reduces the risk of stoppages by up to 60 per cent which means a faster and more efficient clean.
The TrueMapping feature combines laser technology and advanced dToF (direct time of flight) sensors to map the home four times faster than regular laser mapping and with detection areas that’s two times larger than before.
The resulting higher detailed map creates eve greater cleaning efficiency and customisation.
And the laser mapping also works in the dark so users can do their cleaning at any time.
It also has an impressive three hours of runtime before it need to return to its base for a recharge which is enough time to clean most homes.
“Ecovacs Robotics continues to drive innovation in home robotics, always striving to push the boundaries of what is possible when it comes to automated floor care,” said Karen Powell, Head of Ecovacs Robotics for Australia and New Zealand.
“The Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI is an impressive example of what this dedication to innovation can deliver.
“The ability to recognise and respond to objects and obstacles in the environment around it is a game-changer when it comes to robotic cleaners.
“Users can now leave the home cleaning to their automated devices with unprecedented levels of trust that it will not get stuck. Add in the OZMO Pro Oscillating Mopping System and features such as Multi-Floor Mapping, aerospace standard TrueMapping technology and an impressive run time, and this robot is perfectly designed for traditionally large Australian homes, offering cleaning efficiency and detailed maps.”
The Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI is available from today from JB Hi-Fi, with the OZMO Pro Oscillating Mopping System included for $1299.
Other retailers, products and accessories from the Deebot OZMO T8 family will be announced later this year.
