Modern technology gives us many things.

Apple TV reinvented to include Siri and an easier way to enjoy apps on your TV

Apple TV has been transformed into a smarter device that can now be controlled using a trackpad or with your voice thanks to a new Siri integration that will quickly take you to your desired content in seconds.

The new Apple TV device includes an all-new Bluetooth remote control with a glass touch surface trackpad and microphone to activate Siri.

The new operating system – tvOS – has also been redesigned to match the iOS 9 software that runs on Apple mobile devices.

It will also allow developers the opportunity to create apps for the larger TV screen in including games, fitness and shopping apps.

Just on the gaming side, Apple TV has the potential to bring all of our favourite iOS games to the biggest and best screen in the house.

At the event, Melbourne developers behind the Crossy Road game demonstrated the game on the larger screen along with a new multiplayer mode.

On the shopping side, now customers can browse products on their TV instead of their smaller iPad or iPhone.

With Siri now integrated into Apple TV , users can now ask for content like “find me action movies” or “show me James Bond films”.

Users can even narrow the search even further like “show me Bond films starring Sean Connery”.

But it doesn’t stop there. Its also possible to ask Siri the weather, for the latest sports scores or news headlines.

The results are displayed above the now paused program you were watching.

If a viewer wants to find out more that can slide up the results to go full screen.

The device will be available in 32GB and 64GB capacities in late October. Australian pricing has yet to be announced.
