Modern technology gives us many things.

Alcatel’s new A5 LED smartphone will light up your life

Alcatel wants to light up your life with a new smartphone with built in LEDs that activate when you listen to music and when you receive calls and notifications.

Unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Alcatel A5 LED has a back panel with LED lights that shine through the surface.

Alcatel also announced the U5 and A3 5-inch smartphones and the PLUS 12 – a 12-inch Windows 10 tablet.

The Alcatel A5 LED has a 5.2-inch high definition display, an octa-core processor and 4G LTE connectivity.

It also has an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera.

But it’s that LED light cover that’s literally going to catch your eye.

The array of LEDS are spread out on the back panel and can be used to let you know if you’re getting a call, a message or social media notifications.

It can even light up and pulsate in time with your music so it’s also a disco in your pocket.

Also onboard is a feature called Colour Catcher 2.0 which allows the user to take a photo of a colour and replicate that colour in the LED light and in a theme for the display.

The Alcatel A5 will be available in May and will be priced at $299.

ALCATEL U5 – Less than $150

Alcatel is well-known for offering great value for their impressive products and the U5 continues that trend.

The U5, at less than $150, will be one of the most affordable 5-inch 4G smartphones on the market when it’s released in May.

For first time smartphone buyers, the U5 offers a slim design and sophisticated gloss finish but also ease of use with a simple mode that offers fast access to your most frequently used apps.

ALCATEL A3 – $199

Alcatel steps up the game without too much of a step in the price with the A3.

It has a premium metal frame design, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a fingerprint reader on the rear panel.

There’s also a front speaker to hear your music and compliment your experience when watching content and playing games.

The Alcatel A3 will be available in June and priced at $199.

ALCATEL PLUS 12 – $649

The Alcatel 12 Plus is a Windows 10 2-in 1 tablet with a 12-inch full high definition display and a sleek modern look.

It takes advantage of the Windows 10 security features like Windows Hello fingerprint assistant for password-free log-ins.

Cortana personal digital assistant is also available so you can use your voice to find documents, makes searches and complete tasks.

And it has multiple ports – a USB-C, USB-A, microHDMI and a headphone jack so users can connect peripherals as well as speakers and external drives.

The Alcatel PLUS 12 will be priced at $649 and will go on sale in June.
