When it comes to creating quality smartphones at affordable prices, Alcatel has no peer and the company has reinforced that with the release of the A3 XL – a feature-packed 6-inch smartphone that’s less than $200.
The “phablet” has a slick design and a large 6-inch high definition display which is sure to suit the many customers who love to stream content on the go.
But a large immersive screen isn’t all you get.
On the rear panel is an 8-megapixel camera and a fingerprint reader – making it the cheapest phone on the market to include this added security feature.
The fingerprint reader can also be used to answer calls, take photos, encrypt documents and quickly access applications.
Under the hood, the Alcatel A3 XL is also impressive with a quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot to expand the storage.
The device also sounds good thanks to the Arkamys-enhanced speakers.
There’s also a 5-megapixel front camera complete with flash so your selfies will look great.
On the networks, it’s also fast with LTE Cat 4 connectivity so you can stream to the A3 XL’s large screen at high speed.
“At Alcatel, our mission is to make smartphones more affordable, accessible and fun for people everywhere,” said David Vieira, Product & Marketing Director, Alcatel Mobile.
“We’ve done that with the Alcatel A3 XL – it’s a compelling option for anyone seeking a fully featured device, without blowing a hole in their budget.
“The added extra security fingerprint feature, expected in higher end mobile devices, provides added security and peace-of-mind.”
The Alcatel A3 XL will be available through Vodafone from July and will be priced at $199 – or less.
