Amazon has expanded its eero range of products for Australian customers with the eero 07 and eero Pro 7 mesh wireless systems to improve your home networks.

The eero products are built to the latest faster Wi-Fi 7 standard and have TrueMesh, TrueRoam and TrueChannel networking technologies under the hood and can provide fast, stable and reliable wi-fi performance across your entire home.

Eero 7

TrueMesh automatically finds the fastest path for your data on the network, TrueRoam connects users to the nearest eero as they move between rooms and TrueChannel automatically chooses the optimal channel for your device while working to improve the resilience of the network.

“We are excited to bring advanced performance to Aussie homes through our expanded eero range,” said Jacqueline Lipman, APAC Managing Director, eero.

eero Pro 7

“Whether customers prioritise affordability or premium features, our lineup meets every household’s needs – from powering home offices and streaming across multiple devices to staying connected with family overseas.

“As connectivity becomes increasingly essential for Aussie consumers, the new eero 7 and eero Pro 7 help simplify everyday life by delivering reliable connections in our complex digital world.”

EERO 7 – $299.99 (One Pack), $649.99 (Three Pack)

eero 7 is aimed at customers who want to improve the wi-fi they rely on for everyday activities like streaming, gaming and working from home.

The dual-band router could offer speeds up to 1.8 Gbps and wired speeds up to 2.3 Gbps.

The eero device is quite compact with a small footprint and can easily blend into bookshelves, entertainment units and desks.

A single unit can cover up to 190 square metres which is enough for a small home or apartment while a three pack can cover up to 560 square metres for larger and multi-storey homes.

It’s possible for customers to add as many eero devices as needed to improve the coverage throughout their home.

EERO PRO 7 – $529.99 (One Pack), $1,199 (Three Pack)

The eero Pro 7 offers higher performance for more demanding customers who require higher bandwidth to meet their needs and connect hundreds of devices

It is a tri-band system – 2.4, 5 and 6Ghz – that can provide wireless speeds up to 3.9 Gbps and wired speeds up to 4.7 Gbps.

The eero 7 Pro has a fanless design thanks to its passive thermal technology and can cover up to 190 square metres and up to 200 devices while a three pack can cover up to 560 square metres and more than 600 devices.

Additional features and benefits

– Ease-of-use: With the eero app, it takes minutes to set up an eero, and it’s simple to manage the network, pause the internet and share network details with friends or guests.

– Exclusive eero technologies: eero is constantly optimising its products to deliver the best wi-fi experience without customers having to lift a finger. eero’s patented TrueMesh technology automatically routes data through the fastest path in the network, TrueRoam connects customers to the best available eero as they move between floors, rooms, or buildings, and TrueChannel automatically selects the optimal channel for a device while also working in the background to improve network resiliency.

– Security: Every eero comes with world-class encryption and security protocols. eero systems support WPA3, the strongest security protocol in consumer Wi-Fi today.

– Automatic over-the-air software updates provide the latest security patches, bug fixes, and feature upgrades.

– Compatibility: eero’s Wi-Fi 7 portfolio is backward compatible with all previous generations of eero devices making it easy to expand or upgrade an eero network as wi-fi needs evolve. It’s also simple to swap out the eero connected to the modem and upgrade a network with an eero 7 or Pro 7 using the in-app instructions.

– Wi-Fi 7: eero 7 and Pro 7 provide improved throughput and capacity as well as reduced latency thanks to the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard and features, including Multi-Link Operation to enable devices to simultaneously connect across different bands and channels; Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access to allow more devices to communicate simultaneously; and 4K-QAM to enable more data to be packed into each signal.

– The foundation to a smart home: eero 7 and Pro 7 act as smart home hubs for Matter, Thread, and Zigbee devices. Both devices support Matter by enabling customers to set up Matter devices with Alexa, act as Thread Border Routers, and feature a built-in Zigbee smart home hub to connect compatible devices with Alexa.

– eero Plus: Subscribers to the optional eero Plus service can add advanced online security features and parental controls; take advantage of eero Internet Backup during an outage; and use three top-rated security apps: 1Password for password management, Malwarebytes for malware and anti-virus protection, and Guardian for VPN access.

– Free customer support: eero’s expert Wi-Fi troubleshooting team is ready to help by phone or email seven days a week.

– Three-year warranty: The new eero Wi-Fi 7 routers are also backed by an industry-leading three-year warranty.
