DJI has just released the Mic Mini 2 – the latest generation of the compact wireless microphone which, despite its small size, offers high quality omnidirectional audio recording.
Available in camera and mobile versions, the DJI Mic Mini 2 has voice tone presets and two-level noise cancelling and can be connected to cameras, phones and computers.
Also included is a colourful range of detachable front cover plates so the compact microphones can express your style and match your outfit.
The DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter tips the scales at just 11g without the detachable magnetic clip and delivers 48Hz, 24-bit audio.
It has three voice tone presets – regular, rich and bright – so they can be tuned professionally to suit the user and the situation.
DJI Mic Mini 2 supports two level noise cancellation for quieter indoor recording and noisy outdoor sessions.
Also onboard is five-level gain adjustment, automatic level limiting and dual track recording when synced with the DJI Mimo app.
The DJI Mic Mini 2 charging case holds the transmitters and receiver which fits inside a pouch with other accessories and interchangeable covers.
The mobile version of the charging case has room for a single transmitter and one mobile receiver which has a USB-C plug to fit most devices and computers.
Up to two DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters can be paired directly with the Osmo Pocket 3 and 4 gimbal cameras, Osmo 360 and Osmo Action 6 without an additional receiver and still deliver 48kHz, 24-bit studio-quality sound.
The transmission distance can reach up to 400m with the DJI Mic Mini receiver and up to 300m with the mobile receiver.
The transmitter and receiver can run for up to around 11 hours while a fully charged case can provide up to 48 hours of power.
DJI has also released the DJI Mic Mini 2 Time Series Magnetic Front Cover which introduces a range of colours and designs to the compact wireless microphone to allow users to match their outfit.
The designs were created by renowned illustrator Victo Ngai. Each of the covers attach magnetically to the small DJI Mic Mini 2 compact wireless microphones.
Ngai, a long-term fan of the DJI brand, explains her inspiration for the designs.
“With the Time Series Magnetic Front Cover, sound takes the main stage instead of playing a supporting role for ambiance,” Ngai says.
“Instead of being just another microphone that needs to be hidden, the DJI Mic Mini 2 becomes a piece of art that people want to showcase.”
