Bambu Lab has just released the X2D – a new and more affordable 3D printer which offers most of the features of the flagship models and puts it within reach of more customers.
The Bambu Lab X2D is priced at $1,049 or $1,349 if purchased with the AMS 2 Pro Filament feeder.
This is less than half the price of the Bambu Lab H2C model which we reviewed on Tech Guide.
The Bambu Lab X2D features dual nozzle 3D printing and can handle faster multi colour prints.
It has a print bed area of 256mm x 256mm x 260mm and, while not as large as more expensive 3D printers, it is still a generous space and offers room to make some large prints.
The X2D nozzles can heat up to 300 degrees Celsius and active chamber heating up to 65 degrees Celsius.
The printer offers high-quality and smooth surfaces thanks to the servo extruder that can operate at high speed.
And with the dual nozzle setup the X2D can switch and manage different colours even faster with less filament waste.
The X2D also has AI monitoring to keep an eye on the print and notify you if anything goes wrong.
The Bambu Lab X2D is also quiet thanks to a noise-optimised air duct to keep the X2D below 50 decibels in silent mode, which means it’s quiet enough for overnight printing.
And like the other more expensive Bambu Lab 3D printers, the X2D is easy to use.
That’s something Bambu Lab has prided itself on and that continues with the X2D to allow users to get into 3D printing right away.
The printer has a 5-inch touch screen, which allows you to access all the settings and take full control.
But you can also enjoy full control through the Bambu Handy companion app, which allows you to not only control the printer but also access hundreds of thousands of designs and ideas for you to print on the X2D.
The Bambu Lab X2D is available now and is priced at $1,049 or $1,349 with the AMS 2 Pro Filament feeder.
