Hisense had a huge presence at the Consumer Electronics Show and Tech Guide took a look at the booth to see new RGB technology and its range of impressive projectors.
Hisense had the world’s first RGB MiniLED TV at CES last year with its 116-inch model and this year it is also unveiling the new RGB MiniLED evo technology which brings in a four colour – sky blue to join red, green and blue in the backlight.
The benefits are that the TV can achieve 110 per cent of the BT.2020 colour gamut so the range of colours the TV can generate is more than the human eye can see.
The other upside is the power efficiency which can be up to 30 per cent less power usage when compared to similarly sized TV.
And it’s also easy on the eyes thanks to the reduction in blue light – that’s good to know especially since we’re sitting even closer to larger TV.
The regular RGB Mini LED Hisense TVs will be available this year.
Another standout product on the Hisense stand was the XR10 home theatre projector.
It’s not the same shape as regular projectors – it’s about the size and shape of a four slice toaster but it does have a lot of technology packed into it including cooling an optical zoom which means you can achieve the larger images up to 300 inches only a few metres away from the screen.
Hisense had a demonstration area where the XR10 was set up and being a 200 inch image from just 4.5 metres away.
Now that’s a big deal because generally to achieve larger screen sizes projectors have to move further away from the screen.
But thanks to the built in optical zoom, the XR10 can achieve those larger screen sizes in small rooms without compromising the 4K quality.
