LG has unveiled its impressive knew range of 2023 OLED TV’s which offer improved brightness, even better colour and it improved webOS platform.
Revealed on the eve of the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, LG’s exciting new line-up of new OLED TV’s include the Z3, G3 and C3 OLED evo series which are powered by the new a9 AI Processor Gen6.
On top of the flagship self-lit picture quality, the new LG OLED TVs also introduce powerful new image processing technologies to enable more smart features and services to take the OLED viewing experience to an all-new level.
The first large screen OLED TVs were introduced by LG a decade ago and since then the company has been recognised at the CES Innovation awards every single year.
LG OLED TVs are known for their premium picture quality, deep black levels, infinite contrast and accurate and lifelike colour reproduction.
And not requiring a backlight means LG has been able to produce some visually stunning form factors including the rollable LG Signature OLED R which made its worldwide debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2019.
The upgraded 2023 Z3, G3 and C3 OLED evo series all have higher brightness an even more accurate colour along with improved clarity and detail which comes courtesy of LG’s OLED evo technology and the new a9 AI Processor Gen6.
This new processor enables sophisticated AI-assisted Deep Learning technology to provide premium picture and sound quality.
AI Picture Pro also offers improved upscaling for a new level of clarity and dynamic tone mapping which helps bring out even more depth and detail in the picture.
This technology also detects and optimises important objects including people’s faces to give them an even more lifelike HDR (high dynamic range) quality.
The A9 AI Processor Gen 6also powers the LG AI Sound pro which can provides virtual 9.1.2 surround sound which all comes from the TV’s built-in speakers.
The new LG G3 OLED includes the new LG Brightness Booster Max technology which brings to the table new light control architecture and light boosting algorithms which can increase brightness by up to 70 per cent.
This brightness is mapped and controlled pixel by pixel. The result is an even sharper and more realistic image.
The 2023 G3 OLED evo models have also had a design improvement with the introduction of the seamless One-Wall Design which means there will be no visible gap when the TV is wall mounted.
The latest version of webOS on LG’s new TVs include a refined and redesigned user interface which offers even more personalisation options.
The new Quick Cards section makes it easier and faster to access the content and services viewers use most often.
It groups them together into logical categories including gaming, music and sports.
The new LG webOS interface offers each viewer in the household personalised recommendations based on their own preferences and viewing history.
Another level of personalization on LG’s OLED TVs is AI Concierge which offers each user a curated list of content choices based on their viewing habits and searches.
LG’s OLED TV’s will also continue to support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos so they both look and sound great.
The TVs also support the WOW Orchestra feature which allows an LG TVs speakers to operate along with the new range of LGs soundbars for an even larger soundstage.
The new LG OLED TVs are also HDMI 2.1a compliant and the first to be certified by the HDMI organisation for quick media switching VRR so users can instantly switch between sources and content without the momentary black screen.
LG self-lit OLED TVs continue to be ideal gaming displays and boast a 0.1 millisecond response time, low input lag and up to four HDMI 2.1 A compliant ports.
Also under the hood is the Game Optimizer so you can quickly select and switch between game-specific features including game genre display presets.
The 2023 range of LG OLED TV’s will be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and will go on sale in Australia in the coming months.
