Method 1: Using Panda Helper App Store
- As always, the first step is to back your data up through iTunes and iCloud
- Use Safari browser to open the Panda Helper download page
- Follow the guide on the page to download the app store
- Open Panda Helper and search for Unc0ver jailbreak – tap to download it
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install Unc0ver and wait for the icon to load on your home page
- Open Settings > General > Profiles
- Tap Unc0ver and tap Trust
- Now tap on the Unc0ver icon loaded on your home screen
- Tap the Jailbreak button and wait
- When your device resprings, you should see the Cydia on your home page.

Method 2: Using AltStore
Another third-party app store, AltStore, is a little different in that your computer is required to install the app store on your iPhone or iPad. And, because it is done in this way, you need to refresh the apps at least once a week to ensure Apple cannot revoke the certificates. You can find full details of all this on the download page:
- Install AltStore on your device, following the linked guide
- Next, open Safari and go to the Unc0ver download page
- Download the jailbreak onto your device
- Open the AltStore app store
- Tap on the plus icon at the top and tap on Uncover 5.3.1
- Wait for the installation to finish, and the icon should be on your home screen
- Trust the app profile and complete the setup as you did with to store
With AltStore, your device must be connected to your computer using the cable or iTunes Wi-Fi Sync at least once a week to update and refresh the app to stop it from crashing.
What is Unc0ver Jailbreak?

How to Remove Unc0ver Jailbreak:
If you find that you need to remove Unc0ver jailbreak from your system for any reason, there are two ways to do it. If you don’t want to jailbreak again, simply restore your system through iTunes. Another way to do it is to use the built-in Restore RootFS feature:
- Launch Cydia and go into the Installed tab
- Delete all mods, apps, libraries, tweaks, etc. that you installed one at a time
- Open Unc0ver and tap Settings
- Toggle Restore RootFS and Refresh Icon Cache
- Go back to eh main jailbreak app page and tap on the Jailbreak/Rejailbreak button
Now you need to wait. Leave your device alone while your root file system is restored – this may take some time, so be patient. When you see the RootFS message on your home screen, tap OK, and Unc0ver is removed from your device.
