TCL Communications has showcased an all-new 5G smartphone portfolio, a low power tablet using innovative new display technology and a wearable display that allows you to enjoy home theatre conditions as easy as putting on a pair of glasses.

These announcements were made by TCL during its virtual press conference at CES 2021.

The company also revealed a new 10 inch tablet for students and families, hybrid noise cancelling true wireless earbuds and a tracker designed for your pets.

TCL 20 SERIES SMARTPHONES

TCL has made huge inroads in the smartphone space in Australia and its new 20 Series offer fast 5G connectivity as well as the next generation of NXTVISION, TCL’s new proprietary advanced display and camera technology.

The NXTVISION 2.0 screens not only look better but also include new AI software to enable adaptive display features, fewer false touches and an algorithm to detect your environments lighting and adapt the colour accuracy clarity and contrast to suit the conditions.

The TCL 20 5G includes a 6.67-inch FHD+ Dotch display and offers enhanced display in video streaming with support for HDR10 video playback for streaming Netflix content.

The device is powered by an 8nm octa-core Snapdragon 695G chipset.

The onboard power management can automatically switch between 4G and 5G bands based on data usage to help extend the life of the internal 4500mAh battery.

On the camera side, users will find an AI powered triple camera with autofocus and video image stabilisation plus low light high resolution shots.

It has a 48 megapixel main rear camera and utilises PDAF autofocus for taking sharp images every time.

The TCL 20 SE has a 6.82-inch V-notch display with a 90 per cent screen to body ratio to maximise your viewing experience.

The screen has a 20.5:9 screen ratio which offers cinema like viewing experience.

Also included is the smart floating window which allows users to browse the web or reply to messages while still watching their videos.

The TCL NXTPAPER tablet

TCL NXTPAPER TABLET

The TCL NXTPAPER tablet has a paper like display which has no flicker or harmful blue light.

TCL’s proprietary NXTPAPER technology still manages to offer a stunning display performance with an IPS screen that takes advantage of TCL’s technology to reuse natural light to maintain vivid full colour reproduction with no blue light or flickering.

Users can enjoy smoother video playback whether it’s to work to play or be entertained.

The device has 25 per cent higher contrast than most e-ink devices and also offers more than 65 per cent more power efficiency than standard LCD screens.

and the result is much better battery life and efficiency.

The NXTPAPER has full high definition resolution on its paper-like LCD screen and offers greatly reduced eyestrain and fatigue compared to most regular tablets.

The TCL NXTPAPER has a 5500mAh power battery along with a 5-megapixel front facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera which allows the device to be used for remote class learning and video conferencing.

To ensure connectivity anywhere, the TCL NXTPAPER will be offered in both Wi-Fi and 4G models.

“NXTPAPER is a prime example of TCL Mobile’s Display Greatness philosophy and showcases how a vertically integrated ecosystem can help produce innovative new products quickly and affordably,” said Stefan Streit, General Manager of Global Marketing for TCL Communication.

“This new type of display will directly benefit remote workers and students alike, bringing new features that help encourage productivity, make life easier, and keep our eyes safe.”

TCL WEARABLE DISPLAY

They might look like a pair of glasses but they include dual 1080P full HD micro OLED displays built in so users can enjoy and experience what compares to watching a 140-inch screen from 4m away.

It has a screen density of 49 pixels per degree (PPD) which makes visuals sharp and vivid.

Users can connect the wearable display to smartphones tablets and laptops via a USB-C connection that supports 1080p resolution.

When connected, the TCL wearable display allows users to watch movies, play games and more anywhere they want whether it’s at home or on the road. ‘

You can enjoy a truly immersive experience anywhere.

“It is a thrill to introduce a truly new and unique type of wearable product that leverages years of research and TCL’s expertise in display manufacturing, as well as new premium devices that enhance our lives as well as the lives of our pets,” said TCL’s Streit.

“We will continue to build and grow our already robust ecosystem by expanding further into the wearable and audio product categories.”

TCL TAB 10S

The TCL TAB 10S is a device designed for remote learners and their parents alike.

It includes a 10.1-inch screen and is powered by an octa-core processor so it offers not only great quality but also excellent performance.

The device has an 8000mAh battery for up to 8 hours of video playback and up to two weeks of standby time.

TCL’s tablet can provide 4G LTE mobile communication so users can be connected from anywhere to access content or take part in a meeting or lesson.

Users can be heard and seen quite clearly thanks to the dual microphones and speaker system along with its front facing camera.

Parents will also appreciate the controls that can help them manage their children’s time online along with a student’s study and rest time.

TCL MOVEAUDIO S600

TCL has unveiled new true wireless earbuds with hybrid active noise cancelling technology and transparency mode for those who want an optimised audio experience and a desire to block out the outside world.

But you also still have the ability to talk to others without having to remove the earbuds.

The TCL Moveaudio S600 allows you to enjoy immersive audio and crystal clear calls even when in crowded streets in a shopping centre or on public transport.

This is all thanks to the three built-in microphones on each ear bud which enable noise cancellation.

The TCL efforts also have strong base and precise reproduction for music fans.

Bluetooth 5.0 allows for seamless connectivity between devices so there are no lags or interruptions.

Your music is paused and resume when you pull out and replace the ear buds.

Each earbud has intuitive touch controls which make it possible to navigate your music and phone calls and playlists.

The TCL Moveaudio S600 earphones have up to 8 hours of music playback on a single charge and that goes up to 32 hours when you take into account the battery life of the charging case.

The ear buds are also IP54 rated which means they can handle water, sweat and dust so you can use them anywhere with you in the gym on your commute out for a jog or on the beach.

TCL MOVETRACK

You’ve heard of fitness trackers for humans but what about a tracker for your pets.

That’s exactly what you get with the TCL Movetrack pet tracker which gives owners the ability to keep a virtual eye on their pets at any time and from anywhere.

The unit attaches to a dog collar and offers real-time geo location tracking via GPS and Wi-Fi to help locate lost animals.

The TCL Movetracker pit tracker also creates a virtual leash with users receiving notifications if the tracker leaves a designated Bluetooth coverage areas up to 10 metres.

Owners can also create safe zones and receive an alert when boundaries are crossed.

A pet’s movements can also be measured on a daily weekly or monthly basis and can provide insights into your pets health and mood.

The Movetrack also has an e-badge QR code so if a lost pet is found the Finder can easily contact the owners.

The companion app also comes with the feature that can illuminate an LED on the device if you need to find your pet in the dark.

The unit has a water and dust resistant rating of IP67 and a battery life of up to 14 days.
