Tech Guide has kicked off an exciting new competition for one lucky reader to win the latest version of Sony’s PlayStation 3 gaming and entertainment console.

You can win the PS3 which is not just a high definition gaming console but also a 3D Blu-ray Disc player and connected entertainment hub in your home.

The PlayStation 3 was recently given a complete makeover and is now less than half the size and volume of the very first PlayStation released in 2003 and 20 per cent smaller than the previous slim model.

The new PS3 weighs just 2.1kg and is 29cm long, 23cm long and 6cm thick.

It comes with a sliding disk cover so the game disc can be loaded into the top of the device instead of the current slot loading drive where disks are inserted from the front.

The competition is for the 500GB version of the PlayStation 3 and runs until December 20.
