Everything old is new again as Polaroid releases its Flip instant camera which continues the shift back to analog devices by intrigued Gen Z and Millennials.
The Polaroid Flip combines new technology and nostalgia with a hyperfocal four-lens system, adaptive sonar autofocus along with the most powerful flash it has ever used and all housed in a sleek retro chassis.
Polaroid Flip also has a scene analysis feature which can optimise the shot before it is printed.
And it also includes the iconic red shutter button.
Also onboard is USB-C charging and Bluetooth connectivity which unlocks other features via the Polaroid companion app including double exposures, a self-timer and access to manual settings
The Flip is Polaroid’s most powerful point and shoot camera to date and offers the novelty and convenience of instant photography.
There has been a move back to analog experiences like instant photography as more people – especially Gen Z and Millennials – take a break from their digital lives and reconnect with life’s special moments in a meaningful and tangible way.
When taking a photo with a smartphone they usually stay in the device’s gallery but the Polaroid Flip offers a physical copy of the image on the spot to enjoy.
The Polaroid Flip will go on sale on May 13 and will be priced at $399.
It will be available from JB Hi-Fi, Myer and WALKENS House of Film.
