The Adobe MAX event – one of the world’s largest gatherings for creators – has kicked off in Miami with the introduction of more than 100 new Creative Cloud and Adobe Express features powered by the remarkable Adobe Firefly.
The Adobe Firefly Video model was also announced alongside breakthroughs in Firefly Image and Vector and Design models to bring generative AI to a whole new level.
“We’re giving the creative community a powerful new brush to paint the world by putting unprecedented power, precision and creative control in their hands,” said David Wadhwani, president, digital media at Adobe.
“With the demand for content projected to grow as much as ten-fold, we’re empowering creators to scale the use of their content across marketing, HR and sales teams.”
CREATIVE POWER AND EXPRESSIVENESS
– Adobe Firefly Video Model utilises generative AI to create video from text and image prompts as well as being able to extend video clips and smooth out transitions.
This will include a deep integration into Premiere Pro. The improvements to Adobe Vector Model offer creative control to designers using Adobe Illustrator. Firefly has been used to generate more than 13 billion images.
– There are range of new features and capabilities in Adobe Photoshop including distraction removal smart technology which can easily remove people, wires, poles and other distractions from an image.
– Adobe unveiled new features in Illustrator including Objects on Path which makes it easier for creators to attach a range and move an object along any path of their artboard. Also launched was Enhanced Image Trace which makes it easier for users to convert images to vectors.
CONTENT CREATION AT SCALE
– Frame.io now has a new level of features which enhances its industry leading video post-production capabilities and makes it easier to collaborate in audio, photo, design and other creative workflows. Canon, Nikon and Leica have been added to the Frame.io camera to cloud ecosystem to create an even faster and more secure way to get media from the location to the people who need to work on it.
– Adobe Express has new enterprise capabilities enhanced with AI so team members can access approved assets. Express showcases the power of apps like Photoshop and Illustrator and make them even more useful for creative professionals.
– Adobe GenStudio for performance marketing was also announced at Adobe MAX. This is an end-to-end content supply chain solution which makes planning, creating, managing, activating and measuring content for marketing campaigns and personalised consumer experiences.
Apart from its product announcements, Adobe also announced a new initiative with the goal of helping 30 million next generation learners and teachers enhance their AI literacy, content creation and digital marketing skills through Adobe express.
Adobe and the Adobe Foundation have committed $1 million to support the local communities in response to the devastation of the recent hurricanes that impacted Florida and surrounding areas.
Adobe made donations to the American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen and it says it will match the donations of Adobe MAX attendees, sponsors and employees to help the community in their recovery.
