Golfers are always looking for ways to improve and Garmin has released not one but three new products that are designed to help slice your score and not your shots on the course.
The products include the Approach G10 GPS device, the Approach S20 GPS sportwatch and the TruSwing – Garmin’s first golf club sensor.
Garmin’s golf category is one of the company’s strongest pillars and these will add to that popularity this year.
APPROACH G10
The Garmin Approach G10 is the world’s smallest golf GPS device with a 1.3-inch sunlight readable display and more than 40,000 courses onboard right out of the box with no additional data or subscription fees.
Golfers will see the precise distances to the hole and along with a Green View to see the shape of the putting surface and the ability to manually position the location of the pin.
It has 15 hours of battery life in GPS mode which is enough power for several rounds before it needs a recharge.
The Garmin Approach G10 will be released in March and will be priced at $199.
APPROACH S20
The Garmin Approach S20 is a GPS golf watch that offers all of the benefits of a golf GPS device but can also be your everyday watch.
One of the main features is the AutoShot round analyser that records the distance and location of each shot so it can be viewed on your Garmin Connect account.
Apart from giving you distances to the hole, the Approach S20 can also track stats like fairways hit, greens in regulation and putts per round.
And off the golf course the device can also track your daily steps, calories burned, distance and sleep as well as relay notifications from your smartphone like emails and messages.
The Garmin Approach S20 will be available in February in black, white and midnight teal and will be priced at $299.
TRUSWING
The Garmin TruSwing is a small and lightweight sensor that can be attached to your club to measure swing metrics to help you improve your game.
The device syncs wirelessly to other Garmin Approach devices and so you can get instant feedback after every swing.
It also works with the Garmin Connect app so players can get detailed data and even 3D animations on their smartphone and tablet.
TruSwing can be used during a round or at the driving range and provides information like ball path, trajectory and distance.
It weights just 28g and is 6cm long and secures to the club just below the grip.
TruSwing will be available in February and will be priced at $229.
