Samsung’s new four door fridge can dispense sparkling water

Samsung is well known for TVs, smartphones and tablets but the company has now brought its technology to the kitchen with an all-new refrigerator.

The Sparkling four door French Door refrigerator (SRF890SWLS) is the first of its kind in Australia with a built-in sparkling water dispenser.

Samsung’s new 890L fridge and has an integrated gas system – powered by SodaStream – to deliver cold, sparkling water at the press of a button.

Users can even select three different levels of carbonation to create a sparkling drink that suits their taste.

A SodaStream 60L CO2 cylinder can fit inside in a specially fitted compartment inside the fridge door to make it easily accessible and just as easy to replace when it’s empty.

There is also a built in icemaker that can make 4.9kg of cubed or crushed ice each day and store 1.9kg of ice.

The Samsung Sparking Refrigerator has a twin cooling system, two separate evaporators plus precise electronic control to keep each compartment at precisely the right temperature and humidity level.

Also on board is Samsung’s Space Max technology so the fridge has thinner walls which means larger capacity without changing the external dimensions

Below the French Doors is a waist height drawer that has four flexible compartments which is an ideal place for easy access for fruit, drinks and snacks.

The Samsung Sparkling Fridge has a 10-year parts warranty on the digital invertor compressor and has a 2.5 star energy rating.

It will be available from Harvey Norman stores from September 1 and priced at $4,999.
