Hisense has released the 100-inch 4K UHD smart dual colour laser TV – a product for customers who want to take their viewing experience well and truly to the next level.
The new Hisense Laser TV, which is priced at $19,999, is actually a short-throw projector that meets the market demand for a larger screen that can occupy the same space in your home as a regular TV.
And unlike a regular projector, the Hisense Laser TV includes a number of features you’ll find on a TV including a built-in TV tuner, speakers plus a subwoofer.
It also comes with its own specially-designed 100-inch screen.
The unit itself combines cinema-grade technology with sophisticated processing and precision smarts.
The result is a stunning 100-inch picture from a unit that sits on top of a regular entertainment unit positioned just a few inches from the wall.

Under the hood is Hisense’s proprietary X Fusion Laser Light Engine which is leveraged by the two independent lasers that are tuned to display a wide range of colours with impressive accuracy and saturation – ideal for a home cinema setting.
The Hisense Laser TV also supports HDR 10 (high dynamic range) and Smooth Emotion Plus technology for super smooth images that are ideal for action movies and watching sport.
On the audio side, there are also powerful speakers inside the main unit powered by JBL Cinema Sound plus a separate subwoofer for a sound experience that matches the impressive visuals.
With a TV tuner on board, the Hisense Laser TV can be used to watch free to air TV as well as offer access to hundreds of apps including popular streaming services like Netflix, Stan and YouTube.
The device also has four HDMI ports that allows customers to connect other sources including a 4K player, a gaming console and a Foxtel set-top box.
The 100 inch screen is thin and lightweight – it weighs just a tenth of a comparably-sized LED TV – and requires no cables to be run through the wall.
The Hisense Laser TV projects the image onto the screen from a distance of only 20- 30cm from the wall.
The screen itself has a structured surface that angles the light from the projector directly towards the viewer.
This surface structure can also reject glare and any other outside light and redirect it away from the viewer.
This means the TV can be used in bright, open plan spaces, which are typical of an Australian home, rather than on a single room that needs to be completely dark.
The new Hisense 4K Dual Colour Laser TV is priced at $19,999 and will be available from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and The Good Guys from the end of September.
The price also includes delivery and a white glove installation service to install the screen and set up the unit in your home.
