The Fitbit Sense

FITBIT SENSE – $449

The Fitbit Sense has innovative new sensor technology with the world’s first electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor on a smartwatch that can measure and help manage stress.

The EDA scan app, when you place your palm over the face of the device, can detect small electrical changes in the sweat level of your skin.

Also onboard is a new ECG (electrocardiogram) app, an on-wrist skin temperature sensor and advanced heart rate technology.

You can also see a daily Stress Management Score in the Fitbit app to quickly understand how your heart rate, activity and sleep all connect to impact your stress and overall health.

APPLE WATCH SERIES 6 – From $599

Apple Watch Series 6 has really extended its credentials as a health and wellness device with the addition of the blood oxygen sensor.

And this is on top of the many existing features that encourage users to get moving and “close their rings” by moving, standing and exercising.

There are some new colours available this time out – blue and (PRODUCT)RED aluminium as well as the new graphite stainless steel (which is what we’ve been using) and gold stainless steel.

The Withings ScanWatch is the first hybrid smartwatch in Australia to include a medical grade electrocardiogram, heart rate and oxygen saturation monitoring.

Apple Watch SE has most of the key features of the Apple Watch Series 6 including health and fitness tracking as well as the ability to stay connected to your content, calls and texts even without your phone.

It still has a Retina Display but not the Always On Retina Display of the Series 6. It also does not have the blood oxygen feature which is also aboard the Apple Watch Series 6.

SAMSUNG GALAXY WATCH 3 – From $649

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has the style and design of a regular time-piece and is made of stainless steel with high quality leather bands.

For the first time there will also be a titanium model which includes the regular features like the rotating bezel so you can move between apps, scroll notifications and change widgets and complications.

Galaxy Watch 3 is 14 per cent thinner than the original Galaxy Watch, 8 per cent smaller and 15 per cent lighter.

Users can also choose from more than 80,000 watch faces in the Galaxy Store or design their own.

The device will be available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm – with both LTE and Bluetooth variants.
