SanDisk Pro Portable SSD meets your need for speed with your data on the go

Today we need to save and access a lot of data – and access it quickly. The new SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD (solid state drive) is ideal for anyone who needs to shift massive files on the move.

The SanDisk Pro Portable SSD is available in 500GB and 1TB capacities and is perfect for photographers and videographers who need to move data quickly for editing on the go.

A 2TB version will also be launching later this year.

The drive utilises Western Digital’s super-quick NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory express) flash memory technology that enables remarkably fast transfer speeds of up to 1050MBs per second.

This means huge photo and video files can be transferred to the SanDisk Pro Portable SSD and on and off computers in a matter of seconds rather than minutes.

Professionals have enough room onboard for full Adobe Lightroom library of hours of RAW video.

And because the SanDisk Pro Portable SSD is meant to be used on the go, the device has a rugged design with a forged aluminium body that not only protects the SSD core but also dissipates the heat so you can keep working at full speed.

It also has a durable rubberised coating that can handle impacts and it also has an IP55 rating which makes it water and dust resistant as well.

And it’s also small enough to fit in your pocket.

The SanDisk Pro Portable SSD comes with both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C and USB-A cables and is also compatible with both Macs and PCs.

It also comes with a limited five-year warranty.

The SanDisk Pro Portable SSD is priced at $259 (500GB) and $399 (1TB) and is available from JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks and Harvey Norman.

SanDisk will announce the availability of the 2TB model later this year.
