Apple has launched the latest version of the 14-inch MacBook Pro that’s powered by Apple’s latest M5 chip to drastically improve performance and battery life.
The M5 chip makes the 14-inch MacBook Pro an even faster and more capable device for customers who demand speed and performance in their workflow.
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 is available in silver and space black and goes on sale on October 22. Pre-orders start and it is priced from $2,499.
The M5 chip offers up to 3.5x improvement in AI performance and up to 1.6x faster graphics thanks to the next generation GPU with Neural Accelerator in each core.
The other improvements include faster and more efficient CPU and higher memory bandwidth that accelerates the whole experience from launching apps and multitasking to running large language models.

The M5 offers a system wide improvement across high-end applications and games.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 offers:
– Up to 7.7x faster AI video-enhancing performance in Topaz Video when compared to the 13‑inch MacBook Pro with M1, and up to 1.8x faster than the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4.
– Up to 6.8x faster 3D rendering in Blender when compared to the 13‑inch MacBook Pro with M1, and up to 1.7x faster than the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4.
– Up to 3.2x higher frame rates in games when compared to the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M1,3 and up to 1.6x faster than the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4.
– Up to 2.1x faster build performance when compiling code in Xcode when compared to the 13‑inch MacBook Pro with M1, and up to 1.2x faster than the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4.
Compared to the Intel 14-inch MacBook Pro and even those running M1, the latest M5 model is a massive upgrade.
Performance-wise you’re getting up to 86x faster AI performance and up to 30x GPU improvements.
On the battery side, there will be up to 14 hours of extra run time for a total of 24 hours overall.
New users will also appreciate the faster charging of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 with the ability to get up to 50 per cent charge in just 30 minutes with a 96W charger.
