LG to unveil world’s largest 105-inch curved Ultra HD TV at CES
LG has announced it will unveil the world’s first 105-inch curved Ultra HD TV at the upcoming International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The latest premium screen from LG will have an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio to offer a true cinema experience.
LG’s 105UB9 is officially the world’s largest curved TV ever made and, thanks to its subtle curve, will be able offer a new level of viewer immersion.
The 21:9 CinemaScope screen means movies can be viewed as they were meant to be.
And with the sides of the screen closer to the viewer than they would be on a regular TV, the viewing angle is better than ever.
There are more than 11 million pixels onboard the 105UB9 with a screen resolution of 5120 x 2160.
The ultra-wide TV is the result of collaboration between LG Electronics and LG Display with new technology introduced to achieve structural integrity, uniform colour and brightness across the display.
“LG Display has kept its dominant position in the display market with innovative and differentiated technologies,” said Lambro Skropidis, General Manager Marketing at LG Electronics Australia.
“With a resolution of 11 million pixels, the 105-inch curved panel is proof of our continued leadership in the next generation display market, offering exceptional world-class value to our customers.”
“We’re proud to reveal our 105-inch CURVED ULTRA HD TV at the world’s largest technology event
“Claiming the world’s first and the world’s largest titles, LG’s 105UB9 employs cutting-edge technology to provide a truly unique viewing experience.
“We will continue to drive the next generation TV market and demonstrate that with LG, it’s all possible.”
Availability of the LG 105-inch curved Ultra HD TV in Australia has yet to be finalized.
The 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show kicks off in Las Vegas on January 7.
