“Our research told us customers want one destination for their movies, as well as simple navigation to find the movie they feel like watching.”

Foxtel Movies and Premium Drama will be made up of seven channels along with the dedicated drama channel. Showcase – the home of HBO with shows fast-tracked from the US.

There is also World Movies and two channels time shifted by two hours for Premiere and Showcase.

Current subscribers to both movie packages will automatically receive the seven new Foxtel movie channels which have been categorised to make it easier for viewers to make a selection.

Apart from Premiere and Showcase, there will also be Action/Adventure HD and SD, Comedy HD and SD, Drama/Romance HD and SD, Family SD and HD, Thriller/Crime SD and HD, Masterpiece HD and SD plus World Movies SD along with the extended library of on-demand movies.

“Our research told us customers want one destination for their movies, as well as simple navigation to find the movie they feel like watching.

“The seven dedicated and intuitively themed movie channels will ensure we make it as easy as possible for people to find and watch the movie they feel like watching.

“Additionally, our better Foxtel On Demand offering perfectly complements the channels, giving customers a virtual movie library at their fingertips, with hundreds of titles available at any time – providing amazing value for movie subscribers.
