Virgin Mobile has become the latest operator to double the data on mobile plans in time for Christmas when customers are most active with their smartphones.
From this week, selected Virgin Mobile post-paid plans will double dip their data allowances to meet the demands of users during the festive season.
This move follows a similar double data offer to Vodafone customers last week.
Customers on Virgin Mobile’s $60 or $90 plans or the equivalent BYO smartphone SIM only plans will be eligible for the double data offer.
The deal will see users on the $60 plans increased their data from 1.5GB to 3GB and those on the $90 plan will go from 3GB to a huge 6GB.
The double data offer is open to new customers and existing customers who want to upgrade or switch to these plans.
“Our customers have always been particularly active online, and we know apps are now an integral part of our customers’ everyday lives,” director of Virgin Mobile proposition & strategy, Derek Cummins said.
“In line with this, and our promise to give more, we’re thrilled to be offering our customers the opportunity to enjoy more data on selected plans for the upcoming months with our double data deal.”
