Samsung to open new Sydney Experience Store

samsung-logoSamsung will open its first dedicated store in Sydney next week with a launch event planned for the evening of Wednesday, August 22.

The Samsung Experience Store, which will be located at 450 George St, follows the trend by other companies like Apple and Sony which offer wall to wall selections of only their products.

Invitations for the launch event were sent to media yesterday with Tyler McGee, Samsung Australia’s president of telecommunications, hosting the event.

Mr McGee’s presence suggests the Samsung Experience Store will have a strong focus on mobility and computing products like smartphones, tablets and laptops.

And being an Experience Store it will be arranged in a way where customers can easily touch and feel the products and also see how they can interact with each other and share information.

Samsung has enjoyed success recently with its popular Galaxy S III smartphone and its Galaxy Tab tablets.

The Sydney Samsung Experience Store will only be the second dedicated store opened by the company following a similar store which was opened in Vancouver, Canada.
