Optus has experienced issues with a mobile tower in West Dapto in NSW which impacted calls between 3am and 12.20pm yesterday including calls to Triple Zero.
Optus has confirmed with local police that the 12 callers who attempted to contact emergency services during that period are all OK.
All services have been restored to the tower which impacted regular calls as well as calls made to emergency services.
The affected tower provides coverage for about 4,500 customers from all networks.
This is one of more than 9,000 Optus sites across Australia.
This latest incident follows the outage of September 18 which cut off customers from reaching 000 during a routine network upgrade.
Around 600 people in WA, SA and the Northern Territory were unable to reach emergency services and four people died during the Triple Zero outage which lasted 13 hours.
Optus has since identified this issue was the result of human error.
In the aftermath, Optus has vowed to share more information about the state of its network.
This relatively minor outage in West Dapto is an example of that transparency.
