Australian case and accessories companies Cygnett and STM have wasted no time with the release of its range of cases designed to fit the iPhone 5.
Two Cygnett cases arrived this morning at the Tech Guide offices – the UrbanShield and the AeroGrip Feel – which are just two of the 14 cases the company will be releasing for the iPhone 5.
Just looking at the Cygnett iPhone 5 cases, it’s easy to see that the new iPhone will be about 1cm taller and noticeably thinner.
STM also unveiled its line of iPhone 5 cases – Opera, Harbour and Arvo. Opera is a lightweight textured case available in five colours while the Harbour and Arvo feature dual later construction and protection.
The Harbour snaps open at bottom to slide the phone in and out while the Arvo has an integrated viewing stand to comfortablly watch your content.
Fashion conscious users can choose from Cygnett’s UrbanShield, Lavish and FlipWallet.
The UrbanShield ($34.95) comes in two styles – brushed aluminium and carbon fibre while the Lavish ($44.95) is a leather flip case which includes a secure magnetic closure.
The FlipWallet ($39.95) is a microfibre folio case which includes pockets to store credit cards, drivers licence and cash.
Cygnett’s Icon Art Series ($29.95) is a collaboration between some of the world’s leading artists with each case having its own unique design.
Tradies and anyone who works outdoors can still use their iPhone 5 on the job thanks to cases like the WorkMate ($34.95) and the Bulldozer ($19.95) which are snap on cases made from impact–resistant silicone and polycarbonate.
The AeroGrip Feel and AeroGrip Form ($24.95) are polycarbonate snap-on cases with a rubberised and glossy finish.
The Vector ($19.95) has a textured 3D pattern and is also made from impact resistant material.
The Polygon ($19.95) is an ultra-slim and lightweight case which features a triangular prism design while the SecondSkin ($19.95) is made from soft silicone that is flexible but that still offers complete protection.
Each case also comes with a screen protector for the iPhone 5’s new elongated screen and will be available after the iPhone 5 goes on sale on September 21.
